Tamilians are very sentimental

Yes, this inference is not just from years of experience with Tamil-land. It is also not with Khushboo getting ostracized for saying that pre-marital sex is acceptable.

Now the Tamilians say that Mallika Sherawat dressed skimpily to a launch-function, and this "hurt Tamil sentiments". I have a few observations:

1. I have lived for many years in Chennai, and as Al Pacino would say, "I have lived". I have seen art, theater, culture, wonderful people, great cuisine, and met some wonderfully enlightened people. What exactly are these "Tamil sentiments", and how does this rabid minority translate to a tamil opinion?

2. Mallika can wear what she wants, and travel anywhere in this country free and happy. No-one should have a problem with that, and if they do, it is purely in the mind, and Mallika is certainly not responsible for problems that a minority might have in their mind

3. Tamil-Nadu is fast deteriorating from its cultural vibrancy of decades ago, because they have chosen to take the path of what they believe is moral righteousness. Rituals and history has taken precedence over the changing times.

Sometimes in life, it is very important to know what exactly one must learn from history.
